2011 Goodwood Revival

Goodwood was as usual an excellent place to see some of the best historic cars that are out racing. The Nick Mason Ferrari 250 GTO was being driven by Martin Brundle and it came second in the race.

There was a spectaular fly past by 10 ww2 spitfires, a great sight to see in the air. When you see them on the ground, it makes you realise how brave those guys were who fought in the skies during the 39 – 45 conflict.

Despite the odd rain shower on sunday, everyone seemed to have smiley faces, though I did think Laurel and Hardy and the road repair guys are probably a bit played out by now!

A Scrutineer friend of mine did tell me that the head of a F1 team that is doing very well and looks like having back to back world championships this year; initials CH. Did put the car into reverse when he got in for his stint of the TT and jumped backwards whilst looking forward. Embarasing if true!
